The City Council has allocated $180,000 to develop a wilderness park in the vicinity of Golden Hills and Brydon roads. Plans call for it to remain a natural habitat with minimal grading, but it will be improved with parking areas, footpaths and irrigation. It is to be named for Lowell Brandt, retired La Verne city engineer.
