A 3-year-old girl was fatally injured when she ran into the street near her family’s Santa Ana apartment and was hit by a car, police said. Eva Duarte was rushed to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she died a short time later, said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Robert Helton. The accident occurred at the intersection of Raitt and Brook streets, Helton said. Police did not cite the driver, Helton said.
