The City Council voted Monday to accept the $50,740 bid of California Consulting Contractors Inc. for the resurfacing of 13 tennis, four paddle tennis and seven outdoor basketball courts.
The city plans to resurface courts at Veterans Memorial, McManus, Fox Hills, Culver West, El Marino, Lindberg and Blair Hills parks and at Culver City High School.
Under a joint-powers agreement reached at the time Culver High was built about 20 years ago, the school district was made responsible for resurfacing the school tennis courts, while the city was to pay for construction and utilities. However, the school district does not have the funds to pay for the resurfacing project.
