San Diego police are seeking information on a hit-and-run accident that fatally injured an unidentified man downtown Wednesday night. Police spokesman Bill Robinson said the victim, believed to be around 50 years old, was found injured in the 600 block of 20th Street about 7 p.m. He was taken by paramedics to UC San Diego Medcial Center, where he died about an hour later. Robinson said the white man was seen earlier in the evening in a wheelchair and may have been a semi-invalid. It appears that he was struck by a car while he was walking, however. Police ask that anyone with information about the accident call the Crime Stoppers Program at 235-TIPS.
