Financially troubled Storage Technology Corp. said founder Jesse I. Aweida has resigned as chairman. He had vacated the chief executive post in November, shortly after the Louisville, Colo.-based company filed for protection from creditors.
A search has been under way for a new chief executive and successor to Naim S. Aweida, Jesse’s brother, who quit days after the company’s Chapter 11 filing. The company reportedly is offering a salary of $500,000 a year.
