Westlake Village OKs 442-Unit Condo Project

Westlake Village officials late Wednesday gave the green light to plans for a 442-unit condominium project. But City Council members saw red when another developer asked for permission to build a blue office building.
The council voted 4-1 to approve planned development and oak tree removal permits allowing the two-story town house units on a 492-acre parcel south of the intersection of Triunfo Canyon and Lindero Canyon roads. The McCoy Land and Investment Co. will build duplex and fourplex units at the site.
But officials asked designers of a proposed two-story manufacturing building to come up with a new color scheme for a project at 5716 Corsa Ave.
Mayor Irwin Shane said the city will insist on an earth-toned building that blends in with other residential and commercial structures.
