The cross country team at Bellflower St. John Bosco has won so many league championships in a row that the current runners were mostly babies when the streak began.
On Friday, St. John Bosco won its 19th consecutive league championship in taking the Trinity League title. Senior Myles Smith set a course record in 14:57 at Central Park in Huntington Beach.
Second place was Ruben Solorza in 15:29.
