Boys’ basketball: Wheelwright commits to USC

Gelaun Wheelwright of Corona Centennial, a top point guard from the class of 2011, is off the recruiting market after announcing Wednesday he has committed to USC.

Wheelwright averaged 18.5 points last season as a sophomore.

‘It came down to they really wanted him,’ Centennial Coach Josh Giles said.
