The search for Buena‘s new football coach is starting to come to an end. According to Buena AD Tina Wright, the school is expected to name Justin Berenson‘s successor in the upcoming weeks now that the application deadline has passed.

Wright said the school will begin interviews next week and a new coach could be named in two weeks.

In the meantime, former Buena Head Coach Mike Olgy has been named interim coach until a new coach is hired. ‘We didn’t want the the program to fall apart and Mike has graciously volunteered his time to see the team through until we name a new coach,’ Wright said.

Let’s hope the new coach can turn the Bulldogs around. Buena has gone 9-31 over the last four years.
