There is a top 25 basketball team at UCLA. It’s just located down the hall from Coach Ben Howland’s office. The UCLA women’s basketball team, riding a six-game winning streak, slipped into the rankings at No. 25. Connecticut, with a 69-game winning streak, sits atop the poll.
The Bruins are 20-7 overall and 13-3 in Pacific 10 Conference play. Their last loss was to Stanford, 74-53, on Feb. 5. UCLA closes the season against Arizona State on Thursday and Arizona on Saturday. Both games are at Pauley Pavilion.
