Angels: Enough with ’86

The Angels have lost 10 consecutive playoff games to the Red Sox, a streak that extends to 1986. The subject came up during a news conference before today’s game with Angels Manager Mike Scioscia and center fielder Torii Hunter.

‘It doesn’t make any sense to bring up 1986,’ Scioscia said. ‘A lot of guys were in diapers.’

Hunter interrupted.

‘I was 11,’ he said.

‘You were still in diapers,’ Scioscia shot back. ‘You want to bring up a sore subject?’
