Oscar liveblog: Mark Boal: Enough with the lawsuit

6:34 pm: Mark Boal comes backstage and is immediately hit with a question about the lawsuit filed by Jeffrey Sarver for appropriating the soldier’s story without compensation. He doesn’t bat an eye, and gives a direct, if kind of equivocal, answer. “As I’ve said before, Jeff is a brave soldier (but) the screenplay is a work of fiction. It’s not based on any one’s story. That’s all I really have on it.”

The bigger question is will we see him again tonight for best picture...
